In Aruanãzug untersucht die brasilianische Choreographin Lina do Carmo das Nebeneinander von Archaik und Moderne. Sie konfrontiert das archaische Ritual »Aruanã« mit den Alltagsritualen der zivilisierten Welt.
Die Videografien abstrahierten das Thema u.a. in einen "Fluss", projiziert auf den Hintergrund der Bühne.
Erstmalige Zusammenarbeit mit Lina do Carmo in »Observation Suite II« 1996, sie übernahm dort die Rolle von James Saunders.

In her dance performance "Aruanazug" the Brazilian choreographer Lina do Carmo explores the coexistence of archaic and modern images. She juxtaposes the ancient ritual "Aruana" with everyday life routines from the civilized world. The videographies which pick up these themes abstractly are projected in the background of the stage.
